What do the terminals mean?

Digital inputs: Read on/off signals: buttons, window/door contacts, motion sensors, dry contacts or pulse meters. Ideal for clear switching states.
Analog inputs: Measure continuous values such as temperature, humidity, brightness or 0–10 V signals – useful for finer heating, shading or ventilation control.
Digital outputs (relays): Switch loads: lighting circuits, sockets, pumps, heating valves (on/off), contactors or other 230 V / dry-contact loads – depending on wiring and protection.
Loxone Air: Wireless link for devices without cables. Built into Compact and Go; the classic Miniserver needs an Air Base Extension for Air devices.
Loxone Tree: Wired peripherals (buttons, presence, actuators) on a dedicated bus – structured and expandable, typical for new builds.
Loxone Link: Connects Extensions in the cabinet (e.g. relay, dimmer or Tree Extensions) to the central unit.
Audio ready: Prepared for multi-room audio. Onboard on Compact; otherwise often added via Audioserver / extensions.

What makes the difference: Both control lighting, shading and more, and include built-in temperature and humidity sensing. The difference is material, feel, colour range and price – not the basic control logic. Another variant (e.g. Touch Pure Flex CO2) also adds CO₂ measurement.

Touch Pure Flex and Touch Pure Display

Both with glass – but different focus: personalized fixed layout vs dynamic display.

What makes the difference: Flex is custom-made with fixed touch points, icons and labelling (plus a small LED matrix display). The Display model controls lighting, audio, shading and climate via a dynamic on-device UI with menus and status. Both measure temperature and humidity; Flex is also available with integrated CO₂ sensing.

Shading & relays compared

Nano 2 Relay Tree, Nano IO Air and Shading Actuator Air – all with relay outputs, different use cases.

What makes the difference: All three switch shading and other loads. Nano 2 Relay Tree is the wired Tree module (also fits in a flush box). Nano IO Air adds 6 digital inputs and optional plug-on buttons – ideal for Air retrofits in the wall box. Shading Actuator Air is the wireless actuator (IP54) for drives and outdoor use.

Tree for wired projects, Air for wireless retrofits – both are available in the LOXONE system.

Wallmount vs Wall Display

iPad Wallmount 10.9" and Wall Display 10" in direct comparison.

What makes the difference: With Wallmount, you need an iPad running the Loxone app. Wall Display 10" is a dedicated Loxone screen that communicates directly with the Loxone Miniserver.

Both are usually mounted in a central room, e.g. the living room.

iPad-based
